Well the moment has finally arrived. YouTube has managed to collect enough feature films on its network to launch an entire section devoted to movies. While the online network has yet to sign a deal with any of the major studios, they've found partnerships with enough independent players to fill up a modest catalog of Bollywood titles, documentaries, low-budget horror, and copyright free classics including a number of Jackie Chan action films. With the rising popularity of streaming and on-demand services, it's enough to show the industry that YouTube could become a player in that field, the technology's there, even if the business model may not be yet. While the selection may be a bit, erm, suspicious, the free catalog does include classics like Animal Farm, Carnival Of Souls, Fists of Fury, and a few entries from The Film Crew of MST3K fame.
