Visit the front page of YouTube today and you'll be treated to a selection of new videos showcasing TEXTp, a video format that replaces the images that make up videos with text. Now that YouTube is experiencing 24 hours of video uploads every 60 seconds, with support for HD content, the load is getting heavy for their network. TEXTp is an attempt to lessen that pressure. In addition to the sample videos on the front page, you can now select "TEXTp" from the pulldown menu for any video or append "&textp=fool to the end of any video URL to try it out. To see an example of this format in action, check out "Lego Matrix Trinity Help" in TEXTp.
