Skullcandy AR

Over-the-ear and DJ-style headphones are more comfortable and can often deliver an immersive audio experience, but boy can they look goofy depending on the style and well, the shape of your head. It's not like many stores have a mirror to help you see if it's a look you can pull off either. Trendy headphone manufacturer Skullcandy is trying out a new solution, using 3D Augmented Reality to let customers use their webcam to put on a virtual pair of Roc Nation Aviator headphones to see how they look and switch between different colour options to find the best match. From there you can record a short clip of yourself to send to your friends or click on the "Blow Your Mind" button for a cool special FX surprise. The effects are worth trying the software out, but as someone who has tried on many headphones, and lamented that some colours just don't work for me, I can see the real value of this feature.
