Research In Motion will hold a special press event in the United States next Tuesday, August 3rd. No details have been given as to what the big reveal will be, other than a joint announcement with wireless carrier AT&T. As such it's expected to be news for the US market only and press invites have been sent out to select US journalists only. For several months now RIM has teased a new operating system for their BlackBerry devices which adds fluid touch controls, universal search, enhanced social and media features, and a much-wanted revamped web browser. Surely the new operating system will get its debut next week along with a new BlackBerry design. RIM has given no official hints as to what the next BlackBerry will look like, but the web has been abuzz with speculation of a slider design. We'll find out next Tuesday.
