Timed perfectly for today (May the Forth Be With You), TomTom has launched the first of a series of Star Wars-themed voice packs sanctioned by LucasFilm. The series begins today with Darth Vader and will continue with C3-PO in June, Yoda in July, and Han Solo in August. Each includes sound effects and music from the popular films and lines inspired by its iconic dialogue. While the Darth Vader pack proper is for sale at $13 US, you can download a selection of alerts and notifications for free.

Here's a sample line:

"Bear left, to the dark side. Then in 200 yards you have reached your destination. The Force is with you, but you are not a Jedi yet"

Vader's lines are accompanied by Tie Fighter sounds, light saber duels, and of course, the Imperial March.

Unfortunately the voice packs are only offered in English for launch, Tom Tom says they will be releasing them in other languages at a later date. 

To get a viral promotion going on the release, Tom Tom has also produced a YouTube video (below) and an online game here where visitors are asked to test their allegiance to the dark side.
