
Thanks to everyone who wrote in requesting I bring back this feature. When the recession hit, the quality and quantity of innovative websites being made by creative individuals dropped as more pressing issues took hold and I decided to put the column on hold until things improved. With the long weekend ahead it's a good time to for a return and while I still can't make this a weekly item, I'll start posting the best ones as they apear.
No Escape Fridays is a series where I trap you inside one of the many puzzle rooms scattered about the internet. Your task is to search the room for clues and hidden items, use them to solve puzzles, and find a way to escape so you can enjoy the weekend.
In Dad Escape you are a father with a parental premonition that something might have happened to your daughter. You rush over to her apartment to find her missing and her home locked down with mysterious puzzles. To save your daughter you must uncover the clues and items needed to solve the mystery. Make sure to click on "Japanese" to switch the game to english and if your not fond of the strumming guitar soundtrack, just click on the checkbox marked BGM (Background Music). This is an excellent introduction to the world of escape puzzles as you're given a beautiful and charming room to root around and explore with puzzles that have a full sense of logic to them. This isn't a hard game and the hint button will help you get past any sticky parts. Good luck!
