If there was ever a YouTube video I could choose to leave you with here at the end of 2009, this is it. Ric's house in Valencia, California has seen a number of impressive Christmas and Halloween light shows over the years, from animated characters to 3D illusions, but this year he's gone all out and not only synchronized the Christmas trees lights with the music from the video game Guitar Hero, but has timed the animations to recreate the screen, complete with falling notes, on the garage so that you can pull out your Wii Guitar and "play" Guitar Hero off of the house itself (and a small TV hidden to the side). I can't imagine how much time it must have taken just to get this right, but clearly to stand outside on your front lawn and rock out using your own house, it's worth whatever labour pains were involved. The song is Eric Johnson's Cliffs of Dover as featured in Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock, an excellent choice and one of the most fun tracks to play. .
