The radio-controlled copter craze suffered a bit of turbulence when the market was flooded with cheap imitations, the kind of plastic toys that you bought, flew into a wall, and never played with again. As the toy industry moved on to look for the next trend, Borgfeldt Canada decided to try to fix things. They developed the Litehawk, a copter made with CNC leight weight metal (not plastic), added a gyro-stabilizer, and turned out one of those well-made, crafted toys that are the darlings of hobbyists. The little Canadian copter has done really well and now in another touch of creativity, the company has released a "Flight School" air course you can use to, y'know, actually do something with your copter.

It's one of those ideas that's simple and so smart. It's a cardboard tube filled with glow-in-the-dark tubing, string, and the adhesives to assemble them into the hoops needed to quickly build your own obstacle course. Everything's adjustable so you can create landing pads, simple loops, and advanced loop formations for those with real skill. Watch the video above and you'll see it offers the much-needed incentive to get better with the controls and the platform needed to show off. With most R/C toys, that's usually left to you and only the really hard core enthusiasts figure it out. Here Borgfeldt Canada's found a way to make it easy for you, just by putting a little thought into it.
