CTV Rockstars

You may have heard the stories. The drum solo that petrified the floorboards of a bar in Moosejaw, the bass groove that calmed the wolves of Tagish Lake, or the falsetto that helped star-nosed moles in Brandon, Manitoba give birth. The secret is finally out. CTV harbours four gods of rock who have been playing in the shadows for years and now that the network bosses know about them, they're being sent to out to harness their powers of rock for the forces of good.

Performing at the Eaton Centre in Toronto this Tuesday, April 27th at 10:30 am will be CTV Toronto News anchor Bill Hutchison, CTV Toronto's Michelle Dubé, Canada AM's Richard Crouse, and yours truly, Kris Abel. The Sunnybrook Health Foundation and the Canadian Hadassah-WIZO have challenged us to take on bands formed by other Toronto-based news outlets in a Rock Band competition. Each band will be performing in front of the crowds and before a panel of Canadian Idol-styled judges that will be selecting one band to rule them all.

More than just your ordinary charity event, the aim of the Eaton Centre concert is to introduce "Funday Sunday: Toronto's Family Fest" a city-wide, family-friendly event taking place later this year on November 28th at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre where a massive Rock Band competition will be held that will be open to secret rock stars from anywhere in the city.

If you're in the neighbourhood Tuesday morning, come on out to the stage in front of Sears, watch us rock out, help out these two important healthcare organization, and be inspired to form your own band and compete against others later this year.
