Apple has updated a number of their desktop products today while introducing two entirely new accessories. New Intel processors and updated graphics cards have been added to the all-in-one iMac computer, which now start at $1,299 CND. Aimed at hard core desktop users, the Mac Pro has new components offering 50% more performance with 12 processing cores and starts at $2,599 CND, and the LED Cinema Display is now available in a larger 27" size, offering a 2560 x 1440 resolution at $999. But perhaps the more curious announcements today are the introduction of two new accessories; a battery charger and large track pad.

The Magic Trackpad is a larger version of the built-in trackpad found in Apple's notebooks. Made of smooth glass and aluminum, the idea is to allow desktop users to add a trackpad to their systems so they can take advantage of multi-touch controls. It sells for $69 CND.

Since the Magic Trackpad uses traditional batteries, Apple has created their own battery charger to offer "a convenient and environmentally friendly" way to always have fresh batteries. It includes six "long-shelf" rechargeable batteries and costs $29 CND.
