LG's latest is a compact touchscreen-drive phone called the 3G Cookie Plus. It's focus is on web-surfing and social networking. It can't download or run "apps" like a smartphone, but it does include built-in access to Facebook and Twitter with all of your social feeds assembled into one area called LiveSquare and a selection of widgets to arrange on your home screen. It includes a 3 Megapixel camera and media playback features, but with the real aim here being all those students on their way back to school, the phone includes cartoon-like icons and a wide selection of customization themes. Telus is launching it tomorrow as an exclusive for $30 on a three-year plan.
