At this week's Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas Kodak will be taking digital picture frames forward another step. Their Kodak Pulse Digital Frame has many of the innovations we've seen from the company before; touchscreen controls, Wi-Fi internet connection, it's own e-mail address so your friends and family can simply send their latest photos to it, but Kodak has added a special "Quick Comment" feature. When you notice that the frame has been updated with a new picture from one of your friends, you can tap the button to add a comment such as "LOL!", "OMG!", or even "KODAK MOMENT" (way to push the brand, Kodak). The updated version of the picture is then sent back to the sender so they can see your response.

It's Kodak's attempt to add a bit of social networking the digital frame space. Naturally, the frame has a built-in connection for Facebook as well as Kodak Gallery and can be used to create photo playlists too. An activity sensor will allow the frame to detect when you're nearby and automatically turn on, then when you're away turn itself off to conserve power. Kodak says they hope retailers will pick up the Pulse Digital Frame for this Spring where it will be available in 7" ($130) and 10" ($200) sizes, both with LED backlighting and 512 MB of storage memory.
