Apple issued a warning today concerning the USB wall charger that was included with the iPhone 3G and sold as an accessory. They have received a few reports of the metal prongs coming loose and remaining stuck within electrical outlets. As this presents a serious risk of electric shock, they are recommending that all iPhone 3G users stop using their USB wall chargers immediately and to use their USB cables with their PC computers instead. Apple is offering a free replacement charger that can be claimed through any Apple retail store or through their online store beginning October 10th. iPhone 3G users will have to provide their iPhone's serial number to make the claim. The exchange program will only be held through Apple and will NOT be made available through Rogers and Fido stores. You'll find the full details here.
