Bell’s Mobile Movie serviceBeginning with titles from Walt Disney and Sony Pictures, Bell Canada launched today a movie rental service where Bell customers can pay $6 to watch a full-length feature film on their cell phone screens. The rental fee allows the movie to be active for at least 24 hours, with some titles extending that period to a full week, and includes pause, fast-forward, and rewind playback controls. Once you pay the initial rental fee, you can watch the movie as many times as you’d like during the rental period. The service is limited to those who own any of these five handsets - Samsung a920, a900 and m500, the Sanyo 7500 and the LG 550. The service also requires a subscription to either Bell’s Unlimited Mobile Browser service or one of their Fun Bundles (an additional $10 - $25 a month). Those with a subscription use their phones to download the Mobile Movie software for free. Although movies start at $6 each, Bell says that some select titles may cost more.
