Over the course of the next four weeks you’ll have the opportunity to train as an astronaut, perform knee surgery, design your own building, take a tour through the human brain, and draw the human face from the inside out, all part of my new curriculum that swaps out one of my daily “cool” links for a “school” link in honor of the wave of summer-baked brains returning to the hallowed halls of education as the leaves of another year fall to the ground.
I’m going to include as wide a selection as I can, with choices for little ones just learning to read all the way up to out-of-school wage-slavers looking to escape the daily grind during their precious lunch hour with some fun, but intellectual stimulation. Our Internet has become a heaven for the self-taught, with many of the world’s top institutions, such as the Smithsonian and the British National Library now at a point of being hip to that fact and offering up free, interactive, online exhibits that match in quality the websites of our favorite web-gadget makers like Google, Microsoft, and Apple.
Please feel free to send me feedback, ideas, suggestions, stories, complaints, warnings, problems, fantasies, pictures, cool links, school links, anything you want, surprise me. I have a sense of humor and very thick skin, but most of all I get a big kick out of hearing other people share their enthusiasm and their own unique experiences with new technology. My e-mail address is krisabel@gmail.com
Due to the volume of e-mail I get each day, it can take me several days to send a reply, so please be patient, but know that I do read every e-mail sent in.
I have a huge stack of mail I’m writing replies for right now, so if you’re one of the many people still waiting to hear from me, it’s coming soon.
