Sony has issued a recall for select Sony VAIO laptops sold between July 2007 and August 2008. They have received fifteen reports of overheating including one report of a person suffering a minor burn. The cause has been identified as being either a set of irregulariyl positioned wires near the hinge or a dislodged screw inside the hinge that are causing a short. The models involved include VAIO VGN-TZ100 series, VGN-TZ200 series, VGN-TZ300 series and VGN-TZ2000 series. These are models with 11.1" displays that were sold through Sony's online store and retail outlets.
