Exclusively available through Bloomingdale’s in the United States and limited in production to just 2500 sets, the Ultimate Collector’s The Beatles iPod Box Set offers the best solution it can for digital music fans of the Fab Four. Since the Beatles have yet to allow their catalog of music to be sold online in MP4 format, the special box set includes a collection of CDs for owners to transfer over to the Limited Edition iPod. Thirteen albums, two masters collections, and LOVE, the Cirque du Soleil soundtrack from their Las Vegas show which celebrates the legacy of the Beatles, are all included on CD. The can then be ripped and transferred overto a numbered, 120 GB iPod in classic black and laser engraved by EtchStar with The Beatles logo on the front and the Abbey Road graphic on the back. Completing the set is a guitar pick, engraved with the words “Love The Beatles”, and vinyl record box designed by Psycho Bunny.
The box set is the result of a collaboration between Bloomingdale’s, Cirque du Soleil, and Apple Corps. North America and is currently being sold through the “upscale department store” for $795 US.
EtchStar, who provided the iPod engraving, is also offering to add additional custom engraving for free to customers willing to ship their Beatles iPods in for the service.
