The Space Channel recently held their very first Halo 3 competition, forming their own internal team of hard core gamers to take on the gang over at AngryRobot.ca. As the Space Channel is now part of the CTVglobemedia family, they asked me to sign on and help defend their honor against the Angry Roboters, who proved to be frightfully good (they even had their own uniforms made). Taped at the CTV Queen Street studios (formerly the CHUM building), sections of the match are being featured on Hypaspace, the Space Channel's weekly update show, and are gradually being added online to their Master Chief Challenge page. In addition to video clips from the match, there's also a photo gallery and a biography section.

The emphasis of the competition was on team work and having fun. We kept off of the Slayer matches and instead took on team-based games such as One Bomb (where teams work to plant a bomb inside the other's fortress) and Capture the Flag (where teams compete to steal each other's flag).
It was interesting to see that both teams came to the studios with very different attitudes, from the Angry Robot team who showed up with specially made uniforms completw with their GamerTags printed on the back.....
