The owners of four exploding Dell laptops released pictures onto the internet and since the online traffic has crashed the original websites that hosted these photos, I've assembled them here for your curiosity. You can see why Dell is initiating what many are estimating is the largest battery recall in consumer electronics history. The first reported incident from this past June, this alarming explosion started in a confernce in Osaka, Japan. Witnesses reported that the Dell laptop suddenly erupted into flames and then produced a series of small explosions for five minutes.

Although Dell has stated that none of the incidents they've investigated have occured in the United States, this photo released on the internet from a man in Illinois begs to differ. You can read an account from a witness here.
