”BellThis past Tuesday Bell announced their support for Twitter's SMS messaging over their mobile network for a cost of 15 cents per incoming and outgoing SMS message. Following a discussion between themselves and Twitter, Bell has decided to revise their pricing and has announced that "Twitter SMS messages will now be included free of charge to Bell customers on text messaging bundles." ”3GThe 3G BlackBerry 8230 Pearl Flip is launching through Bell today, the first in Canada to offer a CDMA version of the Pearl Flip. The carrier is pushing it as part of their promotion for their Unlimited NHL Bundle which offers live audio of the games plus selected video broadcasts, highlights, themes, and more. The option is being made to customize the Flip with a free cover, featuring your choice of NHL team logo and a 2GB micro SD card pre-loaded with NHL video clips. It'll be offered in three colour choices - solid black, two toned black, and pink. In addition, Bell is offering an introductory price of $29.95 for a three-year contract, good until March 31st. If you’ve used Google Earth then you know how impressive the fly-over animation is. That’s where your desktop begins on a city street and quickly pulls out, revealing the nearby buildings, then the city landscape, then the surrounding territory, the country, the continent, until it reaches orbit briefly and pans around the world, quickly spinning over the oceans to the next continent and zooming back into another country, area, city, building, and once again, to street level. ”CanpagesStreet View, a mapping feature that offers interactive panoramic views of real world streets, will finally be turning its zooming gaze towards Canadian streets in March, but not through Google, the company that first introduced it. Canpages.ca, a Burnaby, B.C.-based localized search and commercial listings service, has licensed the technology and created their own version, due to launch in a couple of weeks. [More]
